How long should my video be?

March 17, 2011 § Leave a comment

Context plays a big role in the length of the video. Generally speaking, keep your video short: under two minutes is best. Think twice before you hire a person with a camera. Although younger people are more likely to be comfortable watching shaky, unpolished video, most professionals and corporate viewers seem to be more engaged with a polished approach. Below a certain range, you get what you pay for is true when it comes to video. Consider also a production company that can add some humour to your video. Humour prevents people from tuning out, as you lose 20% of watchers after 10 seconds, and close to 50% after one minute into your video.
